Early Apples

My old apple tree produced beautiful apples again– earlier than all the other trees, beautifully sized,  these apples are perfect for cobbler, sauce, pies, and my favorite, apple crisp. Two of my neighbours got a big bag each, my brothers got some, my mom got a big bag, and a friend also got a large bag of these… I ate two whilst picking. So it goes… for me, it’s nicer to have them growing and appearing, than it is to start storing them, I guess… also, my oven has been out of commission for well over a month now, and there has not been even a smidgen of baking happening over here, except for in the kiln.
